Leap of Faith

We took a leap of Faith, packed our first home up in boxes, and moved across the state leaving our families and childhood homes.  My husband had a job opportunity he just couldn't pass up.  The problem, I new I would be homesick.  We had a 4 year old and Newborn Twins!  I didn't think I could stand it, or call another place home... I knew I would have to make this house a cozy spot to make me feel "at home" and special to keep me from being homesick...so, here I go on my adventure to make my house a home.

After many color swatches stuck to the wall, I went with
a caramel/copper color.  I found this piece at Hobby Lobby
for 50% off!  It has a nice amber glow now.

Shutters!!



We new we needed something to help with the privacy factor, so we went all out and got new shutters across the front of the house. Here is a picture of the front door area.

Dining Room Area...gives a lot of warmth
and weight to the room, much needed in here!

These shutters are in the playroom....that rounded arch may lead us to the poor house!
We had no idea rounding out the windows would cause it to be so expencive! Sure does
look good though!!!
